Epsilon Gamma Iota, Inc. is a non-profit co-ed social and service organization founded on the campus of Prairie View A&M University by 38 students from the Engineering Concepts Institute Program (ECI Program) in 1984. Those individuals later became known as the “38 Minds of Success”. They were officially recognized at Prairie View on November 19, 1985. Our motto is "Through Unity We Shall Prevail". We are a family in every meaning of the word. We love, support and grow with each one of our brothers and sisters. The purpose of Epsilon is to promote social as well as academic excellence for the betterment of engineering, engineering technology, computer science, and architecture majors. With over 30 years of building traditions and maintaining excellence, Epsilon Gamma Iota has stretched to 6 amazing undergraduate chapters as well as two incredible graduate chapters and still continues to grow and pass on the radiant light.
